Anytime we have considerable tiled roof painting to do, we invariably consider utilising an airless sprayer. Once we wrap up all the preparation work, applying paint with an airless sprayer is effective and simple. It retains the advantage of consistent coverage on a range of textures and of getting into all the cracks and crevices and hard to reach places compared to conventional tiled roof painting.
Like all tiled roof painting jobs, spraying is more
about preparing to paint than anything else. Once you get it into your head that the prep work is part of the painting process, you’ll be more likely to relax and go with it. Don’t be too anxious to get into the paint can, especially if you are spraying because it takes a little more prep to spray compared to other methods
Scope of work completed on this project
- Repaired all cracked ridging by removing cracked mortar.
- Filled roof ridging with a cement latex mix.
- Removed acrylic membrane to roof ridge
- Sealed with cement latex mixture
- Replaced all cracked roof tiles.
- Cleaned roof valleys and gutters.
- High-Pressure clean entire roof.
- Spray apply a roof sealer.
- Airless Roof Spray paint with 2 coats of a quality acrylic charcoal paint.
- Torch-on area. – Apply a Primer to the Torch-on.
- Apply 2 coats of charcoal acrylic paint
